⚠ Educational & Research Use Only

USPhL is provided for educational and research purposes only. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Before continuing, please understand:

  • Outputs are an algorithmic interpretation of the Leuven Consensus criteria, applied to the data you provide. They do not replace clinical judgment, multidisciplinary review, or complementary instrumental assessment (VFSS / FEES).
  • The reference normal values are based on Swallow Gateway templates (Laborie, March 2020; Medtronic, July 2021). These values were derived using Standardized Bolus Media (SBMkit™ bolus; rheological properties published at: swallowgateway.com/products/).
  • Patients without dysfunction by these criteria cannot be assumed to have "normal" swallowing. Esophageal-phase abnormalities and other clinical findings must also be considered.
  • This tool does not provide guidance on therapeutic or surgical intervention decisions.
  • USPhL only reads Swallow Gateway Export files. All processing occurs locally in your browser; the files read do not contain Protected Health Information.
